Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering or taking a first, full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited Canadian college or university, with demonstrable financial need. Applicants living with families earning over $60,000 gross annually are unlikely to qualify. Later support is limited to postgraduate Education or Divinity. Applicants are expected to work in free time and participate in athletic, fitness or military activities.
Download the application and arrange an interview with one Nominator between January 2 and March 31. Submit through that Nominator. Do not contact more than one Nominator.
Current information
About 100 awards are made annually. The current cycle has no stated year. Preferences may include children of clergy, teachers or military personnel, Canadian Military College graduates, relevant engineering or mining institute members and previous recipients.
